Job Summary
- The Project Engineer II supports the project management team in executing large-scale commercial landscape construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager to assist with planning, coordination, and oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the construction team to ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule, and with a high standard of quality
Perform takeoffs using Onscreen Take-off (OST) and gather pricing for estimates
Review take-offs with the estimating team
Manage document control, including submittals, change orders, field production tracking, purchasing documentation, and contract administration
Prepare reports and information as requested
Coordinate between the branch administrative team, field employees, sales team, estimating team, and branch management regularly
Work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and employees; ensure exceptional customer service and quality at all times
Education and Experience:
B.A degree in Landscape Architecture, civil engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and project management software
Strong work ethic
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Customer service experience
Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers
Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time
Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence
