Additional Information
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Schedule may require flexing to stay until 6:00pm based on program needs.
Salary based on relevant years of experience
Job Summary:
The Licensed Social Worker in the Evaluation and Treatment Center is responsible for providing counseling services to a neurodiverse population of children and young adults. The Licensed Social Worker ensures that the highest possible quality services are provided to the clients who are treated within the center, maintaining excellent treatment and policy standards as per NYS DOH regulations. The Licensed Social Worker ensures the program offers evidenced based practices and treatment modalities required by the individuals served in the program.
Essential Job Duties:
Create a therapeutic relationship with clients in a clinical, out-patient setting.
Provide counseling and therapy for children and young adults with a range of presenting concerns and diagnoses related to development.
Collaborate with other clinicians (both within and outside of the ETC) for testing results and recommendations.
Within areas of responsibility, ensure adherence to clinical and operational best practices, internal and external policies, procedures, ethical standards, laws, regulations, contract provisions, standards, accreditation requirements, and the organization's corporate compliance plan.
Assist with problem-solving to improve efficiencies within the treatment team.
Portray a positive attitude and maintain a patient and staff satisfaction level that limits adverse situations or complaints.
Attend trainings and programs related to this role.
Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies and all others.
Responsible for reporting and monitoring provider’s productivity weekly.
Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education Required:
Master’s Degree in Social Work
Minimum Experience Required:
Experience in providing individual and family counseling using evidence-based practices.
Experience working with children with developmental differences, including autism.
License/Registration/ Certifications:
Valid NYS Driver’s License, required
NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR NYS Licensed Master Social Worker

Physical Requirements:
The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions. There is a need to be able to get on the floor to play.
The constant physical demands of the position are standing and walking.
The frequent physical demands of the position are climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination, sitting.
