Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team and work on turn-key projects primarily within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in either PLC Programming or Electrical Design to ensure the timely completion of projects. This role requires flexibility, as the candidate will transition between programming and design tasks.
Responsibilities
Work on turn-key projects for the automotive industry.
Engage in both PLC Programming and Electrical Design tasks.
Ensure projects are completed on time.
Collaborate with a team to bring automation solutions to facilities.
Participate in all phases of the product life cycle.
Handle projects ranging from small programming tasks to extensive programming and electrical design work.
Qualifications
PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Omron).
5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in programming, troubleshooting, and design.
Experience with controls design.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
Experience with SCADA and Ignition is preferred.
Proficiency in Electrical Design Software, such as AutoCAD Electric.
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
5+ years of experience with control systems design, including PLCs, HMIs, and motor control.
Experience in quoting future projects where Ignition or SCADA could be useful.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vergne, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
