Casa Del Sol Maintenance & Grounds keeper in La Junta, Colorado
Title: Maintenance and Grounds Keeper - Full-Time Permanent
Role Overview Casa Del Sol is looking for a versatile team member to maintain the safety, functionality, and beauty of our community. This is a "skills-first" role where your ability to solve problems and maintain the property matters most.
Key Responsibilities (Maintenance & Grounds)
? Grounds keeping: Perform seasonal landscaping including mowing, power-trimming, weed control, and irrigation system checks.
? General Maintenance: Complete "handyman" repairs such as interior/exterior painting, fence repair, and basic plumbing or lighting fixes.
? Safety & Upkeep: Conduct daily property walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure a clean environment for residents.
? Equipment Care: Safely operate and maintain mowers, blowers, and various hand/power tools.
? Other: Possess strong people skills. Demonstrate good communication. Have a friendly and caring attitude toward older adults.
? Background / Drug Testing: Must be able to pass background check and random drug testing.
Required Skills
? Technical Aptitude: Experience using basic tools and a "fix-it" mindset.
? Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
? Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and working independently.
Schedule & Compensation
? Schedule: Full-Time, Monday -- Friday (typically 7:00 AM -- 3:30 PM).
? Pay Range: $16.00 -- $18.00 per hour (based on role and experience).
