YMCA of San Diego County Assistant Site Supervisor - Licensed in La Jolla, California
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day administration and leadership of the site and ensure Association policies and procedures are being followed

``` - Facilitate and lead daily group activities with youth in accordance with the daily and monthly planning

``` - Assist in providing leadership, coaching, and direction for all assigned YMCA staff at the program location. Ensure staff success in reaching program goals and objectives

``` - Actively supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times
```{=html}
``` - Implement age-appropriate program activities that engage students in active and meaningful experiences and in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA of San Diego County

``` - Communicate in a timely, positive and professional manner with all participants, families, school and district personnel, and community partners
```{=html}
``` - Collaborate with school personnel and program partners to align high quality academic activities and coordinate student services
```{=html}
``` - Provide positive behavior guidance that supports the developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of all students
```{=html}
``` - Follow emergency procedures appropriately to ensure the safety of the participants and staff
```{=html}
``` - Perform daily duties that ensure space is properly maintained, organized, clean, and safe - Must be highly dependable and have the ability tobe flexible with change within a daily schedule - Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act in an emergency situation - Physical ability to lead sports, games and curriculum activities, monitor youth behavior, and perform general housekeeping responsibilities - Other duties as assigned needs to be included to all roles
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older and a high school graduate

``` - Completion, with passing grades, of 12 units in Child Development (CD) or related field . (Related fields can include: Arts, Early Childhood Education, Education, Humanities, Physical Education, Psychology, Recreation, Sociology, and Theater) OR

``` - Completion, with passing grades, of 6 units with 6 more units of current enrollment in Child Development or related field will be considered
