Actalent Compounding Pharmacy Technician in La Grange, Illinois
Job Title: Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities
Prepare sterile IV medications in accordance with USP 797 standards.
Compound infusion therapies using a Laminar Flow Hood or Sterile Glovebox.
Perform sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance of the IV room and equipment.
Track and maintain infusion supplies and equipment.
Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA.
Support workflow needs and collaborate with pharmacy staff.
Adhere to departmental policies on safety, attendance, and dress code.
Work overtime, holidays, or weekends as needed.
Essential Skills
Pharmacy technician license
Pharmacy technician certification
Compounding and IV compounding experience
Data entry proficiency
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proof of National Certified Pharmacy Technician
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to work at a moderate speed with high volume orders
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
Strong computer and data entry skills
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating weekends, from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and every other weekend from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Extended hours may be necessary based on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.
