CITY OF LA CROSSE Maintenance Technician - FacilityGrounds in LA CROSSE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of La Crosse is currently seeking to fill the full-time position of MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in the Parks, Recreation, Facilities and Grounds Department. This position performs preventive maintenance for mechanical systems and building, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical repairs. Position also performs light janitorial duties including general building and grounds custodial and mowing/trimming grass, weeds and removing trees and brush. This position may also assist with coordinating and communicating with outside contractors performing maintenance or repair work. Starting wage for this non-exempt position is \$27.57 per hour (80 hours bi-weekly). Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma with three years building and grounds maintenance/repair experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Two years of minor HVAC experience preferred. A valid unrestricted motor vehicle operator\'s license required. Strong customer service skills and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass a fingerprint background check.
