Dairyland Power Cooperative Financial Analyst II or III in La Crosse, Wisconsin

Hiring Salary Range:

Level II: $77,400-$116,100 (2+ Years Relevant Experience)

Level III: $89,000-$133,500 (5+ Years Relevant Experience)

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.

The Impact You'll Make in this role:

The Financial Analyst II or III - Transmission will lead complex financial analyses and support high-level strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles and significant experience in financial modeling and analysis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. Participate in and lead special projects and initiatives.

  • Conduct transmission rate analysis, and preparation of complex financial reports.

  • Develop sophisticated financial analysis and modeling.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.

  • Complete MISO Attachment O/GG/MM processes.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial commitments.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required, master’s degree preferred. Five (5) years of experience in a position in a finance, economic or accounting function required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities and effective listening, verbal, written communication skills are required. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles required. Ability to perform detailed and very visible work with a high degree of accuracy. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation skills also required. Must have demonstrated experience with Power BI. Experience in performing transmission rate analysis and comparative analysis of proposals for financing, constructing, owning, and operating high-voltage transmission lines and/or substations preferred. Ability to conduct transmission rate analysis and financial analysis for competitive transmission projects. Familiarity with MISO Attachment O/GG/MM processes preferred.
