V2X Pest Control Foreman in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands

This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

Under supervision of the Pest Controller Supervisor, The Foreman oversees the daily functions of the various LN Pest Controller staff to support the completion of required activities, ensuring that staff work together in pairs, and that the work is performed by a DOD Certified Pest Applicator. This position performs Administration duties for Pest Control office. Responsible for researching and purchasing Pesticides and other supplies to ensure department have all the tools needed to perform The Foreman will also address any communication challenges regarding the Marshallese workforce. This position is responsible for the logistical coordination for the transportation of supplies and personnel as necessary to execute tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and taking supervisions from direct Supervisor.

  • Perform Administrative duties for Pest Control Office.

  • Review all weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspection sheets to ensure all are properly filled out in accordance with company standards.

  • Obtains Service Order Requests (SORs) from Public Works and assigns SORs to LN staff, ensures completion of SORs and dispositions the SORs in Maximo accordingly.

  • Ensure material inventories are conducted weekly and monthly.

  • Responsible for the coordination for transportation of supplies and personnel as necessary to complete tasks.

  • Address challenges in communication regarding LNs Pest Controllers.

  • Ensure supply orders (DTRs, PRs) are generated as necessary to ensure sufficient supplies are ready to complete tasks.

  • Data compiling, and inputting for Weekly and Monthly reporting.

  • Ensure LNs are following safety regs and policies.

  • Ensure all used pesticides are recorded properly daily into DD 1532-1

  • Data compiling for CDRLs.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

  • On post Driver's License is required.

  • Experience:

  • Five (5) years of Pest Control experience.

  • Must be able to read/write and speak fluently

  • Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain respiratory program certification within 90-days and annually thereafter.

  • At a minimum, must have at least three certifications, commercial/noncommercial or Department of Defense certified applicator.

  • Primary certification must be for Industrial, Institutional, and Household Pest Control.

  • Other certifications can come from the following (listed in the preferred order): Ornamental and Turf Pest Control, Wood-Destroying Organisms Pest Control, Aquatic Pest Control, Public Health Pest Control: GROUND, and Right-of-Way Pest Control.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.

  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals

  • The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
