V2X Engineering Technician Lead in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
Overview
This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP
The Engineering Technician Lead supervises and coordinates technical engineering support activities for U.S. Army Public Works operations under the LOGCAP program. This position leads a team of engineering technicians responsible for facility inspections, data collection, asset documentation, drafting, and field verification to support planning, design, sustainment, and construction programs. The role ensures technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely execution of engineering tasks in support of installation infrastructure and mission readiness in a remote and austere environment.

Lead and supervise engineering technicians performing field surveys and inspections, development, review and validation of technical drawings, sketches and redlines
Coordinate facility condition assessments and asset verification
Develop, review and validate technical drawings, sketches, and redlines
Support engineers with measurements, layouts, and field data collection
Maintain facility records, engineering logs, and technical databases
Assist with preparation of scopes of work and cost estimates
Ensure QA/QC standards are followed for technical documentation
Interface with Public Works, contractors, and engineering staff
Track work progress and report status to engineering leadership
Support emergency response inspections and rapid damage assessments
Ensure compliance with Army standards, safety requirements, and contract deliverables
Perform other duties assigned.
Closely working with Engineering, ensuring development, review and validation of technical drawings, sketches and redlines is accomplished according to established procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Must be able to obtain a CAC.
Must be able to obtain a Driver’s License
Experience:
7+ years of progressive engineering technician experience
2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
Experience with facility inspections and construction documentation
Experience with facility inspections and construction documentation
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Familiarity with Army or DoD engineering standards preferred
Strong computer skills (CAD, asset systems, MS Office)
Ability to work in remote environments and field conditions

Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
