The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Physical Security Specialist to support our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.

This is an unaccompanied position onsite in Kwajalein.

As a part of a multidisciplinary team, the Physical Security Specialist has the primary responsibility to ensure that all DoD and local USAG-KA security regulations are being complied with. This role will contribute to all physical security NEC Baseline Support requirements and mission support as required for the NEC at USAG-KA.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for Physical Security requirements as referenced in DoD regulations and NEC Performance Work Statement (PWS).

  • Maintain access control program to include assignment of keys & ciphers, accurate record keeping, quarterly audits of records, changing of locks & ciphers, and other duties as required as part of a government-controlled access program.

  • Perform annual Security Technical Implantation Guide (STIGs) for all 240+ sites under NEC control across Kwajalein Atoll.

  • Create, update and administer a security training program designed for 40+ employees on the contract.

  • Process badging requests for all NEC personnel to include base access, SCIF/secure room access, and special site access.

  • Serve as on-site POC for FSO team assisting with local matters, reporting, maintenance of VARs, and other duties as needed.

  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of detailed Physical Security documentation including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), ConOps, localized training materials, and other material as necessary.

  • Perform and properly document the sanitization of media and equipment at the CUI and Secret levels.

  • Collaborate with other contracting organizations and government entities to maintain a collectively efficient security posture.

  • Perform weekly facility checks on a rotating basis inspecting locks, structural integrity of facility, doors and other security concerns.

  • Maintain strong working relationships across all work centers and personnel.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two (2) years of DoD-related or security experience

  • Strong understanding of AR 190-13 “The Army Physical Security Program” and to implement it into a Physical Security program

  • Ability to relocate and reside at the U.S. Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA).

  • Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.

  • Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs to waist height.

  • Ability to travel by plane or small sea-going vessel between working locations.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.

  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • SECRET security clearance to access classified information.
