OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF JOB
The Financial Reporting Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting department within our Shared Service Center supporting the APAC region. Their role encompasses compiling and analyzing financial information, developing integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, and reports.
KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage complex financial data and analyze company performance
Adhere to a tight control environment which abides by the company's previously defined internal control framework
Align communication regarding critical financial metrics and reporting standards across departments
Oversee the process of financial variance analysis to support management in informed decision making
Supervise the development of financial presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations
Ensure financial reporting is in line with company policies and statutory requirements and stay aware of the latest regulatory updates and implement them in reporting practices
Take initiative in leading special projects requiring financial expertise and insight
Direct the professional development of team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
Continually review and enhance financial reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency
Participate in long-range financial forecasting and developing projection models
Review USGAAP/local reporting disclosures
Liaise with external auditors and consultants for statutory reporting in multiple jurisdictions
EXPERIENCE
Sc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
Proven experience in financial reporting
8+ years of relevant experience
2+ years in a people management role
Proven experience as a Lead or similar role
English & Chinese required
Highly detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines
Customer service-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Knowledge of cash application software and accounting systems is a plus
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an excellent Excel working knowledge
