Cognizant SAP - Project Manager – Document Management System Migration (DMS) in Kuala Lumpur, KL-Level 30, Malaysia
Role: SAP - Project Manager – Document Management System Migration (DMS)
Location: KL, Malaysia
Required Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of project leadership experience, with a specific focus on enterprise-wide DMS transformation and migration projects within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing/logistics industry.
Must have led at least two full-cycle DMS deployments or migrations in a complex, multi-market pharmaceutical warehouse or manufacturing organization .
A good understanding of SAP and the supply chain process is a plus.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience with GxP-compliant Document Management Systems is essential. The candidate must understand the architectural, functional, and compliance nuances of these systems.
Expert-level knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory environments, including Good Distribution Storage Practice (GDSP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and data integrity/audit trail requirements for pharmaceuticals, medical devices and clinical trial is preferred.
Certified in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies.

Strategic thinker with a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to risk management, compliance, and budget control.
Proven ability to lead and motivate distributed, cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships across different regions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both senior business executives and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
Pre-RFP phase:
Lead high-level workshops and interviews with key stakeholders (Regional Operations, Warehouse Operations, Quality Assurance (QA) and etc) to gather and analyze business requirements.
Critically, this includes navigating and arbitrating conflicting requirements, balancing competing priorities, and driving the business towards a consensus on the essential needs for the new DMS platform.
Translate the unified business needs into precise functional and technical specifications to build a robust RFP.
RFP Phase:
Plan and execute the RFP process in collaboration with Procurement, ensuring compliance with all internal policies.
Facilitate vendor demos, scoring, and selection, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Develop the comprehensive business case and financial justification required to secure project funding and executive approval.
Execution Phase:
Manage the end-to-end migration project, including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and stabilization, using project management framework.
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, providing transparent and regular progress reports to executive sponsors and steering committees, ensuring alignment is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure unwavering compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations, including GxP, PDPA, and data integrity/audit trail requirements.
Lead a cross-functional team of internal experts and external vendors to deliver project outcomes on time and within budget.
