Your role and responsibilities

As a Technical Product Manager, you will create and deliver technical assets to demonstrate user experience and related offering value props. You will have deep domain and business expertise to identify target markets and opportunities based on user problems, trends, and market dynamics. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Identify Market Opportunities: Determine the right business strategies to pursue based on an understanding of IBM's strengths and market opportunities, identifying target markets and opportunities based on user problems, trends, and market dynamics. • Develop Product Vision: Build the product vision and roadmap, credibly selling it to internal stakeholders, and driving prioritization and planning releases with engineering based on market facts. • Translate Market Needs: Translate market needs to development plans based on a deep understanding of product portfolio capabilities, functioning as a "product owner" for development teams. • Assess Product Technology: Perform robust product technology assessments and benchmarks to ensure differentiation, determining an acceptable scope and schedule for releases in the context of other business requirements and technical debt. • Collaborate with Engineering: Drive prioritization and plan releases with engineering based on an understanding of market facts, ensuring effective collaboration and solution delivery.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Technical Product Management: Experience working with technical assets to demonstrate user experience and related offering value props, with a strong understanding of domain and business expertise. • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Exposure to analyzing market trends, user problems, and dynamics to identify target markets and opportunities, with the ability to determine the right business strategies to pursue. • Product Vision and Roadmap Development: Experience working with product vision and roadmap creation, with the ability to credibly sell it to internal stakeholders and drive prioritization and planning releases with engineering. • Product Portfolio Capabilities: Exposure to translating market needs to development plans based on a deep understanding of product portfolio capabilities, with the ability to function as a "product owner" for development teams. • Technical Product Assessment: Experience working with robust product technology assessments and benchmarks to ensure differentiation, with the ability to determine an acceptable scope and schedule for releases in the context of other business requirements and technical debt.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Technical Asset Creation: Exposure to creating and delivering technical assets to demonstrate user experience and related offering value props, with a strong understanding of domain and business expertise. • Market Trend Analysis: Experience working with market trend analysis, identifying target markets and opportunities based on user problems, trends, and market dynamics. • Product Technology Benchmarking: Exposure to performing robust product technology assessments and benchmarks to ensure differentiation, with the ability to determine an acceptable scope and schedule for releases in the context of other business requirements and technical debt.
