AON Governance Manager in Krakow, Poland

Do you want to build better governance in a leading global insurance and professional services firm?

Are you excited by the idea of turning regulation, risk data and controls into practical solutions that help the business grow safely?

This is a hybrid role based in Krakow, Poland, with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Krakow office!

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

As a Governance Manager in our Business Governance team (Aon UK Limited), you will play a key role in the first line of defense, helping the business operate within an appropriate regulatory and control framework while supporting balanced growth.

You will:

  • Coordinate and deliver governance activities in line with Aon policies and regulatory requirements, with robust documentation and evidence.

  • Support and, where appropriate, lead governance work across areas such as ORTPs, Complaints, Conduct Risk, Conflicts of Interest, Product Governance, E&O Governance and Third Parties.

  • Monitor and report on KRIs and other MI, analysing trends to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work with collaborators across operations, risk and compliance to address areas of non‑compliance and strengthen controls.

  • Prepare clear reports and presentations, highlighting good practice and recommending improvements and greater consistency across business areas.

    How this opportunity is different

In this role, you will have broad visibility across Aon UK Limited and the chance to collaborate with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You will:

  • Be part of a supportive, cross‑skilled governance team that shares knowledge and learns from each other.

  • Help shape and embed best‑practice governance processes across multiple business areas, aligned to global and UK standards.

  • Take ownership of meaningful projects and initiatives that influence how we manage key risks and regulatory change.

  • Build trusted relationships and become a valued advisor on governance and controls in an inclusive, international environment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Experience in a risk, control, governance or regulatory environment, ideally within insurance or financial services, with Certificate CII or a similar qualification (or willingness to work towards one) as an advantage.

  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, with strong analytical skills and a focus on practical solutions.

  • Confidence working with data and MI to spot trends, risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Clear and inclusive communication skills, with experience of writing reports, delivering presentations and engaging interested parties.

  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative mentality.
