We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Actuarial Director, HKRBC and Economic Capital .

In this role you will:

  • HKRBC delivery and governance: Own end-to-end production, review, sign-off coordination and on-time submission of HKRBC results and financial disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Results analytics and movement attribution: Lead period-on-period movement analysis – articulate key drivers and emerging trends; run and interpret sensitivities and stress/scenario impacts to support senior management decisions.

  • Economic Capital & Bermuda Solvency Capital Reporting oversight: Oversee Economic Capital, Bermuda Solvency Capital Reporting calculations, analysis, and reporting – ensure consistency with risk appetite, model governance standards, and relevant Group frameworks; escalate issues and drive remediation.

  • Controls, model governance, and audit/regulatory readiness: Enhance controls across data, model inputs/assumptions, model change, and outputs to ensure integrity, traceability, and audit-ready documentation – deliver timely and sustainable closure of findings.

  • Team leadership: Lead, coach, and develop actuarial staff – set clear objectives and quality standards, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder and dependency management: Partner with Finance, Risk, IT and Group office counterparties to align data inputs, modelling outputs, and reporting requirements; manage dependencies and resolve data/process issues.

  • Policy documentation: Maintain local documentation for actuarial capital related policy – coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure consistent interpretation and standards compliance.

  • Process optimisation and automation: Design and implement streamlined workflows to reduce manual effort and operational risk – apply automation and visualisation to improve efficiency, control, and transparency.

To be successful you will:

  • Prior experience in actuarial capital, or financial reporting roles.

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or another recognised actuarial body.

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building effective relationships internally and externally.

  • Strong analytical rigour and structured problem-solving – able to translate ambiguity into practical actions.

  • Clear communicator across written and verbal channels, including workshops and presentations.

  • Proven planning, prioritisation, and delivery skills in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • High energy and resilience, with the ability to influence, engage, and lead in a positive, inclusive way.
