The candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial automation. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop, implement, and optimize PLC programs for controlling switchgear and related equipment, including integration with protection, control, and monitoring systems. 2. Design and configure user-friendly HMIs for system control, monitoring, and diagnostics, ensuring intuitive interfaces and accurate representation of system parameters. 3. Work in a team environment to develop software requirements, architecture, and structure. 4. Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure smooth integration of PLC/HMI systems with switchgear, control panels, and other automation equipment. 5. Identify, track, and correct software defects. 6. Produce comprehensive documentation, including program code, HMI layouts, system configuration, and user manuals. 7. Assist in the commissioning of PLC/HMI systems at client sites, ensuring full functionality. 8. Review and markup design drawings, bills of materials and sequences of operations for switchgear control systems. 9. Work on special projects as dictated by the needs of the department.
