Island Air Service Ramp Agent in Kodiak, Alaska
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ramp Agent to join our team.
As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for handling baggage, cargo, and aircraft servicing at our facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of freight, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting ground operations to keep flights running on schedule. This position requires teamwork, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities: Weigh, sort, and transport cargo and mail. Load and unload baggage and freight from aircraft safely and efficiently. Assist with aircraft fueling and servicing as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Operate ground support equipment, such as baggage carts and tugs. Follow all safety regulations and company procedures to ensure smooth operations. Work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain on-time departures.
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Basic math skills for tracking and labeling baggage correctly. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow supervisor instructions.
