JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager (MICE) is responsible for driving revenue and securing group business for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) at the hotel. This role involves proactive sales efforts, developing strategic relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies, and ensuring seamless execution of group events. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the hospitality industry, a proven sales track record, and expertise in managing MICE-related business in Japan.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field;
Preferred:
•Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build long-term client relationships.
•Proficiency in sales and CRM software (e.g., Opera, Delphi, Salesforce).
•A proactive, results-driven approach with a passion for hospitality and event sales.
•Strong knowledge of the Japanese corporate and event market is a plus
*Business level proficiency in English and Japanese language is required.
Key Task:
- Business Development & Sales Strategy
•Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key MICE clients, including corporate clients, event agencies, and travel trade partners.
•Actively seek and secure new group business opportunities to maximize hotel occupancy and event space utilization.
•Develop sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s business objectives.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
•Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and presentations to showcase the hotel’s MICE facilities and services.
•Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, proactively managing their needs to encourage repeat business.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent service and personalized event planning.
- Event Coordination & Execution
•Work closely with the events, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of MICE events.
•Communicate client requirements effectively to internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
•Oversee event details, including contracts, pricing, and post-event evaluations to optimize future sales efforts.
- Market Analysis & Competitor Insights
•Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify growth opportunities.
•Conduct regular research and analysis to refine sales strategies and adjust pricing models as necessary.
•Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to management.
- Collaboration with Marketing & Revenue Teams
•Partner with the marketing team to create promotional materials, campaigns, and digital strategies targeting MICE clients.
•Work closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue.
•Participate in trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to strengthen the hotel’s MICE presence.
