Now Hiring: Merchandise Sales Associate
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite)
Duration: Event-based (schedule provided at orientation)
Schedule: 7–8 shows per week; candidates should be able to commit to 4 shows/week including at least 1 weekend shift (schedule based on business needs)
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Merchandise Sales Associates to support retail operations during a theatrical event. This is a high-volume, guest-facing role focused on delivering exceptional service, handling transactions, and maintaining organized merchandise kiosks.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide friendly, engaging customer service to guests of all ages in a fast-paced environment
• Perform accurate and efficient cash handling and point-of-sale transactions
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked merchandise kiosks
• Assist with product replenishment and inventory organization
• Respond to guest needs in a proactive, timely, and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during shows
• Follow all guidelines, including Disney Look standards and dress code requirements
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
• Prior experience in retail and/or cash handling
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to work well in a team and thrive in a high-volume environment
• Quick learner who can be trained on systems and processes efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time pressure
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable working in a small kiosk space requiring spatial awareness
Additional Details
• Mandatory orientation/training on the first day (schedule provided afterward)
• Dress code: black pants and black shoes (Disney shirt provided)
• Face masks available upon request
• Interview process includes a video interview with 3 questions
Education
• High School Diploma required
