Aston Carter Freight Support Specialist in Knoxville, Tennessee
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to support documentation, data accuracy, and application usage across our Wholesale, Retail, and Freight Only operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring delivery confirmations, paperwork, and system entries are accurate, timely, and compliant, while also supporting drivers and third-party carriers through application troubleshooting and communication.
Essential Functions
Manage and fulfill complex documentation requests (e.g., Bills of Lading, Delivery Tickets) for internal departments using available systems and tools to meet business and process requirements across Wholesale, Retail, and Freight Only operations.
Ensure drivers and third-party carriers complete delivery confirmation entries accurately and on time, in alignment with departmental metrics and performance goals.
Drive data entry compliance by maintaining ongoing communication with drivers and third-party carriers via phone, text, and email, while consistently meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly targets.
Provide application support and troubleshooting assistance to drivers and third-party carriers, escalating technical issues to IT or appropriate teams as needed.
Support application releases, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback, testing support, and operational insights.
Identify trends in documentation requests and data entry errors; coach users on proper procedures and initiate corrective actions, reporting, and process improvements.
Generate and analyze reports related to driver and third-party carrier performance, data accuracy, and compliance.
Navigate system reports to assist with troubleshooting and task execution.
Review system entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established processes.
Assist with ad-hoc order entry within the application and TRIPS dispatch system, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
Participate in stretch assignments and cross-functional projects as needed.

Ensure all activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service or logistics
Specialized Knowledge & Experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Teams and Excel
Strong aptitude for understanding internal systems and workflows
Ability to analyze issues and execute complex problem-solving to support business operations
Working knowledge of the fuel and trucking industry and its common terminology
Familiarity with Bills of Lading and standard logistics procedures
Experience with Tableau preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
