BAM operates 16 proprietary high temperature furnaces at its 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. We provide carbonization, graphitization, chemical vapor deposition, and other high temperature processing for customers who are manufacturers of carbon, graphite, and ceramic parts. They are used in aircraft and automobile brakes, thermal protection systems for space, and hypersonic vehicles, and coatings for green energy batteries, fuel cells, and electrolyzers. We provide preforming, needling, die-cutting, and machining services, and BAM is developing a new business unit for carbon aircraft brakes.

BAM Is owned by Loar Holdings Inc., a diversified manufacturer and supplier of niche aerospace and defense companies (NYSE: LOAR).

POSITION

BAM is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The position includes calibration of equipment and quality control activities such as documenting/interpreting data on a regular basis. The role usually involves hands-on work with equipment on the production floor and in the office in support of the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

:

Perform data collection, measurements, and analysis.

Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory or field equipment.

Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with technical, customer, and quality requirements.

Participate in environmental wastewater team duties such as collecting water samples and documenting data.

Contributes and participates in the monthly safety committee team.

Maintain processes and systems that meet customer requirements, production planning, and quality standards.

Perform Audits

Production Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production yields.

Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.

Change filters regularly on production floor in powder areas.

Identify and collaborate with peers on improving safety, process capability, and quality.

Continuous Improvement:

Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and track key performance indicators.
