We are seeking candidates for a Packager role on the 2nd shift. Compensation for this opportunity is $17.09 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!
What you'll do as the Packager:
- Inspect the quality of eggs and remove any broken
- Place proper labels on boxes
- Understand dates, expiration and item numbers
- Ensure that bags and pails are properly sealed and clean
- Stack flats of CHEX product onto the proper pallet
- Load material into case erector
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
- Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
What you need to be the Packager:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license
- Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred
- Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
