Carsome Manager, Operations in Klang, Malaysia

About You

You will lead and manage the end-to-end operations of the Carsome Refurbishment Center, ensuring that all vehicle reconditioning activities run efficiently, on time, and at optimal productivity levels. This role focuses on process optimization, resource planning, workflow management, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence and support Carsome's business performance.

Your Day-to-Day

Operational Leadership & Total Management

  • Oversee all daily activities across the refurbishment center, including production planning, manpower allocation, workflow coordination, and output performance.

  • Ensure smooth movement of vehicles throughout all reconditioning stages to avoid bottlenecks and delays.

  • Manage operational resources—including manpower, tools, equipment, and space—to maximize throughput.

    Process Improvement & Efficiency Enhancement

  • Identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce turnaround time (TAT).

  • Introduce improved workflow systems, SOP updates, and lean practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Analyse operational data to drive decisions related to capacity, productivity, and cost control.

Time Management & Performance Execution

  • Track and monitor production timelines to ensure all vehicles meet the required turnaround and delivery schedules.

  • Anticipate potential delays and proactively resolve issues to maintain operational flow.

  • Set clear performance expectations and monitor operational KPIs such as productivity rate, output volume, and cycle time.

    People Management & Team Direction

  • Lead and supervise operational teams, providing clear guidance, support, and performance feedback.

  • Train and develop team members to strengthen operational capability and discipline.

  • Foster a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with internal departments such as Logistics, B2C, Procurement, and Planning to ensure seamless flow of vehicles and operational readiness.

  • Communicate operational updates, performance insights, and improvement plans to management and stakeholders.

    Reporting & Operational Insights

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports focusing on output, TAT, WIP status, capacity, and productivity metrics.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions and operational planning.

Your Know-How

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Automotive, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of experience in automotive operations, workshop/production management, or refurbishment center operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

  • Strong understanding of operational workflow, production scheduling, and resource planning.

  • Proven track record in process improvement, operational efficiency, and high-volume environment management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make fast, effective decisions.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management capabilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, output-driven operational environment.
