Carsome Manager, Inventory & Logistic Operations in Klang, Malaysia

About You

CARSOME is on the hunt for a talented and experienced Manager, Inventory & Logistic Operations to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Inventory & Logistic, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end inventory and warehouse operations across Malaysia. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in supply chain to drive efficiency, accuracy, and process improvements. Ultimately, your role will contribute to cost optimization, inventory integrity, and customer satisfaction.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead daily inventory and logistics operations including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and stock control.

  • Monitor and ensure operational KPIs (e.g. stock accuracy, turnaround time, space utilization) meet company targets.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies (e.g. negatives, sold out, unfound items).

  • Manage warehouse layout planning, space utilization, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, forecast inventory needs, and propose cost-saving strategies.

  • Enforce SOPs and initiate process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Oversee vendor management and coordination with 3PLs, refurbishment, and transport teams.

  • Generate reports on operational performance, inventory health, and loss prevention.

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse and logistics personnel; oversee recruitment, coaching, and performance reviews.

  • Ensure timely reconciliations and regular stock takes, with accurate reporting to management.

  • Monitor usage of WMS/ERP systems and identify system enhancement opportunities.

    Your Know-How

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory and warehouse operations; automotive or FMCG background preferred.

  • Proven track record in managing multi-site or large-scale warehouse environments.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse best practices, inventory control, and logistics operations.

  • Proficient in using WMS, ERP systems, forecasting tools, and data analytics.

  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Certification in inventory or warehouse management is a plus.
