Position Title: Quality Assurance Technician Swing Shift

Echodyne is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our fast-growing team. 
This role is responsible for ensuring that incoming parts and materials meet the company's quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in quality inspection, knowledge of industry regulations, and expertise in using precision measuring tools and techniques. This position plays a key role in maintaining supplier quality and compliance while assisting with improving internal processes. This role also assists in the management, assessment, disposition, and documentation of nonconforming material from Receiving Inspection. A clear and concise disposition of affected material is documented in Echodynes Product Lifecycle Management system.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Apply inspection techniques using a variety of hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, ring gauges and programable test equipment such as an OGP Smartscope

Initiate, investigate and resolve nonconformances and maintain appropriate records as needed

Knowledge of IPC standards

Ensure proper material identification, segregation and storage of inventory material

Must be proficient in all areas of Inspection (Receiving Inspection, FAI, PCB/PCBA, Mechanical, Cable, Cosmetics and Final Inspection)

Works closely with members of Receiving, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure good communication and coordination of activities

Coordinate Calibration activities to ensure test and applicable design equipment is calibrated per procedure

Assist in evaluation of inspection methods/fixtures and provide improvement recommendations in conjunction with Engineering and Quality Engineering

Responsible for evaluating and defining inspection processes for incoming inspection as well as production operations in collaboration with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering.
