Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Payrate: $30 to $32 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Kirkland, WA (Totem Lake)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and functionality of our properties. This role involves maintaining and improving the property infrastructure, performing repairs, and supporting event preparations.
Responsibilities
Inspect properties daily to identify hazards, damages, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide coverage to properties during weekends and holidays as needed.
Monitor and report the daily performance of housekeeping and security staff.
Perform basic repairs on plumbing, lights, door hardware, cement, woodwork, and painting efficiently.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff on larger projects requiring teamwork.
Maintain weekly lighting reports and perform ongoing preventative maintenance on property vehicles, compactors, water features, and RMUs.
Assist the marketing department with executing center events, holiday preparations, and maintaining signage hardware.
Respond to daily requests for assistance from management, tenants, and contractors.
Perform other duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change.
Essential Skills
Minimum of one year of facilities maintenance experience, including basic carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing functions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents and presenting information effectively.
Problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect information, and establish facts.
Basic computer skills.
Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
Ability to comprehend instructions and effectively communicate with departmental management and tenants.

Work Environment
This role covers shopping centers in the Kirkland/Totem Lake area. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kirkland, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
