Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
The General Production Worker supports manufacturing operations by handling pallets, preparing loads for printing, operating production machinery, and performing basic equipment maintenance. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the physical ability to work on your feet while lifting and moving materials throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets according to the production schedule, ensuring correct placement and safe handling.
Aerate loads prior to printing based on production requirements to maintain product quality and consistency.
Operate production and assembly machinery safely and efficiently, following all standard operating procedures.
Perform occasional preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and extend machine life.
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic equipment issues through early detection, including identifying unusual sounds or performance while machines are in operation.
Use basic measurement tools to verify product specifications and ensure work meets quality standards.
Read and follow written work instructions, production orders, and basic blueprints or diagrams as required.
Conduct visual inspections of materials and finished products to identify defects or irregularities.
Use hand tools and power tools safely for mechanical assembly and related production tasks.
Lift and carry materials weighing 10 to 25 pounds frequently and handle pallets weighing 40 to 52 pounds as needed.
Regularly stand for extended periods and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or control objects, tools, or equipment.
Frequently reach with hands and arms and occasionally walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to complete production tasks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
Essential Skills
Experience in general production, assembly, or machine operation in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Ability to replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets and properly aerate loads prior to printing based on the production schedule.
Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to recognize abnormal machine sounds and performance while equipment is running.
Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment.
Proficiency in using basic measurement tools to check dimensions and verify product accuracy.
Ability to read and follow written work instructions and basic production documentation.
Physical ability to frequently lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds and handle pallets weighing 40 to 52 pounds.
Ability to regularly stand for long periods and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and control tools or equipment.
Capability to frequently reach with hands and arms and occasionally walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Attention to detail to perform inspections and ensure product quality.
Reliability and readiness to work a rotating shift schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with power tools in a production or mechanical assembly setting.
Experience in mechanical assembly or mechanically inclined work.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints or simple technical drawings.
Experience performing basic inspection tasks to verify quality and compliance.

Work Environment
This is an entry-level role in a manufacturing facility with a rotating 3-2-2-3 shift schedule that provides every other weekend off. You will work around production machinery, using hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement instruments in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety and cleanliness. Standard industrial work attire suitable for a production floor is expected, along with any required personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
