Robert Half HR Business Partner / Generalist in Kingston, Rhode Island
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner / Generalist to join our team in Kingston, Rhode Island. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting managers and employees with HR advisory, operational needs, and compliance matters. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring adherence to HR policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Provide expert HR consultation and advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment-related concerns.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning and staffing initiatives.
• Assist in creating and updating job descriptions, managing organizational changes, and overseeing position adjustments.
• Guide managers through performance management processes, including coaching on documentation and constructive feedback.
• Address compensation-related inquiries in partnership with central HR teams.
• Respond to employee relations matters, escalating complex cases as needed, and promoting equitable workplace practices.
• Support investigations by gathering relevant documentation and coordinating meetings as required.
• Assist in implementing organizational changes, restructuring efforts, and workforce adjustments with clear communication strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, federal and state employment laws, and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
• Generate and analyze workforce data reports to identify trends and support decision-making. Requirements • Proven experience in employee relations, HR administration, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
• Ability to conduct investigations and manage sensitive employee relations issues.
• Proficiency in HR systems, such as Workday, for reporting and data management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with managers and employees.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Experience supporting compensation and workforce planning initiatives.
