Aerotek Machine Operator in Kingston, Ontario
Machine Operator
Location: Gananoque, ON
Join a leading manufacturer supporting major automotive clients across North America!
We’re looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, run, and maintain cold form machines—such as Formax, Menn, or Carlo Salvi—to produce high‑quality fasteners used by top automotive brands. If you enjoy hands‑on work, mechanical problem‑solving, and being part of a supportive team, this is an excellent long‑term opportunity with room to grow.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a cold thread machine to produce fasteners.
Prepare and gather necessary materials for production.
Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards.
Transport finished products to quality control for assessment.
Collaborate with a team of 10 on the shop floor.
Maintain and clean the workstation after production.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation and production settings.
Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix material flow issues.
Ability to read and understand basic production guides.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with manual machines for creating fasteners, nuts, bolts, or small components.
High school diploma required.

Work Environment
Machine shop floor with five major production areas and a variety of specialized cold forming equipment.
Clean, well-organized facility with a strong focus on safety.
Some areas of the shop may be loud due to equipment.
Roughly 20 employees on the floor during typical operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingston, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.85 - $27.46/hr.
