Howmet Aerospace Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor in Kingston, New York
Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to lead, facilitate, and coordinate facility and equipment maintenance activities and Machine Repair personnel. Responsible for Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) implementation for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. Responsible for all aspects of design, installation, operations, construction and protection of physical facility. This position is an on-site position located at the Kingston, NY facility.

Job duties and Responsibilities:
Implements and maintains procedural and computer systems for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including autonomous Maintenance (AM), Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) of all production equipment and related Operational Excellence (OPEX) standards;
Directs the maintenance and repair of manufacturing and process equipment;
Supervises the activities of technical personnel, skilled workers and contractors to achieve efficient and effective maintenance operations. Makes recommendations for hire, disciplinary action, and promotion;
Participates in equipment selection and directs the installation of new equipment, SPA for equipment disposal;
Directs facility projects and maintenance; reviews and approves all facility-related expenses. Prepares documents needed for approval of facility capital project funds, including the on-line RFA process;
Responsible for facility compliance to applicable regulatory codes;
Orders equipment repair parts and supplies. Maintains associated records and stock levels. Maintains the critical spares inventory;
Budget and cost control responsibilities for parts, supplies and expenses;
Manages contractors involved with plant facilities, equipment and maintenance;
Oversees facility fire and physical security systems to ensure effective protection of personnel and property;
Interfaces with utility providers;
Actively supports plantCI projects, including Kaizen events, Daily Management and root cause problem solving;
Manages all site mobile equipment and related safety requirements;
Maintains compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping procedures, including 5S controls.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
Minimum of Associate degree required. Preferred in mechanical or electrical technical field
Basic Qualification:
Five years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment:
Two years’ experience in a role with leadership responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical or electrical technical field;
Direct experience in CNC equipment maintenance:
Basic Skills:
Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance program;
Proficient with Microsoft excel and Word;
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing;
Working knowledge of Machine Coolant Processes and Systems.
Preferred Skills:
Broad knowledge of facility technical systems and applicable codes and regulations;
Effective time management; organize and manage multiple priorities;
Working knowledge of computer-based Maintenance Management System, like AMMS
Benefits/Salary:

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000
