*Job Description:\ *The City of Kingman is seeking an experienced Electrician to perform advanced journey-level electrical work to support City water operations. This role focuses on the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Work is performed with a high level of independence and technical responsibility and includes participation in an on-call rotation to support emergency and after-hours needs.

Water Systems Support (60%): Perform advanced journey-level electrical work supporting water facilities, including installation, inspection, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose and correct electrical problems, replace faulty components, and test systems to ensure proper operation. Install and maintain motors, pumps, generators, booster stations, transformers, substations, and related control equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, logic charts, and manufacturer manuals to identify malfunctions and ensure compliance with applicable codes. Coordinate installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance with plant operations staff, mechanics, technicians, and outside services.

Preventive Maintenance, Documentation & Inventory (25%): Inspect equipment for compliance with specifications and technical codes. Maintain daily activity logs, preventive maintenance records, wiring diagrams, and basic project cost estimates. Replenish electrical supplies, maintain parts inventory, and ensure materials are available to support maintenance and repair activities.

Operational Support (15%): Respond to emergency call-outs, report hazards and equipment issues, and perform assigned construction, mechanical, and maintenance work. Clean and maintain tools and equipment, communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and the public, and provide quality customer service.
