As a National Security Solutions – Space Systems (Graduate) Intern, you will:
Identify specific problems in the context of emerging network systems
Develop an appropriate system model and explore the network interconnection problem through the focused lens of quality of service (QoS)
Create a simulation environment capable of modeling networks of networks
Devise performance metrics and methods to evaluate the metrics
Devise and implement alternative networking approaches for comparison
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
Graduate level student (MS / PhD)
Electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science degree program
At least one graduate level course in Computer Networking or Wireless Communications
Proficiency in one of C/C++, Python, or Java
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Summer 2026
Requirement:
Must be a US Citizen
Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Letter of recommendation from graduate committee chair or graduate advisor
