Job Title: Drafter / Designer
Job Description
The Drafter/Designer supports project execution by translating customer requirements into accurate, buildable concrete formwork designs. This role collaborates closely with sales, estimating, and operations teams to develop timely, practical solutions that align with project specifications and construction standards.
Responsibilities
Intake and review customer orders and project requirements to understand scope, schedule, and design expectations.
Assist the estimating team by preparing and refining estimates and quotes based on project plans and customer needs.
Create detailed formwork drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications.
Revise and update formwork drawings as project requirements evolve or as feedback is received from internal teams and customers.
Interpret and work from construction drawings, plans, blueprints, and elevations to develop appropriate formwork solutions.
Coordinate design details with sales, estimating, operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.
Communicate with customers as needed to clarify requirements, address design questions, and support the quoting and design process.
Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files to support smooth handoffs to operations and field teams.
Essential Skills
Proven experience with drafting and designing in CAD software.
Hands-on experience with concrete or concrete formwork design and detailing.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from construction plans, blueprints, and elevations.
Experience supporting customer intake, including gathering technical requirements and project details.
Experience in estimating and preparing quotes for construction or formwork-related projects.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating and revising technical drawings.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and interacting with customers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience specifically in concrete formwork drafting and design.
Familiarity with construction industry practices, terminology, and workflows.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills to develop practical, buildable formwork solutions.
Organizational skills to maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation and drawing records.
Work Environment
The Drafter/Designer works in a collaborative, project-driven environment, partnering closely with sales, estimating, and operations teams. The role primarily involves office-based or hybrid work using CAD software and standard computer tools to produce and revise technical drawings. Work typically follows standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to meet project deadlines or support time-sensitive customer requests. The environment emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and a focus on delivering accurate, constructible formwork designs that support successful field execution.

This is a Permanent position based out of King of Prussia, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
