Job Description:

Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Collect comprehensive data necessary to support sterile processing services. Analyze data to develop ideas and support decisions relevant to the delivery of sterile processing services. Identify expected outcomes for sterile processing services. Develop the strategic plan and processes to attain expected outcomes for sterile processing services. Implement the strategic plan and processes for sterile processing services within the organizational structure. Coordinate implementation of sterile processing services, using human and capital resources. Employ strategies to promote workplace safety and health in the sterile processing areas. Communicate the identified plan for sterile processing services to internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate the effectiveness of the sterile processing services strategic plan toward achieving desired outcomes. Guide quality improvement of sterile processing services using key indicators. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve sterile processing services. Support and integrate current evidence into sterile processing services. Use human and material resources efficiently to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective sterile processing services. Provide guidance and coordinate education and competency verification activities for sterile processing personnel regarding professional guidelines, recommended practices, and regulatory and accreditation standards pertinent to sterile processing services. Maintain records to document ongoing educational and competency verification activities of sterile processing personnel. Manage sterile processing services operationally and fiscally. Manage assigned projects skillfully. Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to sterile processing services team. Evaluate sterile processing services team member performance. Interview for sterile processing services team member selection. Ensure that sufficient sterile processing services team members, equipment, and supplies are available. Ensure sterile processing services team member compliance with organizational policies, regulatory and accreditation standards, and professional guidelines. Exhibit professional interpersonal and communication skills. Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information. Any additional duties assigned in support of perioperative patient care

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environment [Required]

• Demonstrated ability to work under stressful conditions [Required]

• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours [Required]

• Computer skills (eg, Microsoft® PowerPoint, Word, Excel) [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ sterile processing experience [Preferred]

• 2+ management or specialty team leader experience [Preferred]

• 5+ varied perioperative services experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Preferred]

• Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) [Preferred]

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]

• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Preferred]

• Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) [Preferred]

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$29.60 - $55.05
