Welder Responsibilities: - Performing complex manual and automatic MIG and TIG welding operations on a variety of materials, including aluminum and stainless steel, to meet production requirements - Executing rough and finish grinding to ensure weld integrity and surface quality - Planning and determining the sequence of operations for intricate jobs, including situations where blueprints, sketches, weld symbols, or process sheets may be limited or unavailable - Setting up and adjusting tooling, fixtures, and equipment; performing component layout and alignment prior to welding - Identifying, designing, or modifying basic tooling and fixtures to improve efficiency and accuracy - Maintaining welding equipment and work area to ensure safe and clean operations - Conducting visual inspections and ensuring welds meet quality specifications and tolerances - Initiating corrective actions to resolve welding or fabrication issues; troubleshooting complex problems and reporting major equipment malfunctions - Performing material handling while maintaining housekeeping and organization - Providing technical guidance and support as needed/directed - Performing additional tasks as needed including assisting with service work, product failure analysis, and troubleshooting when required ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent - Prior welding experience - Ability to pass welding test - Ability to work independently and demonstrate decision making on complex jobs - Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documentation - High level of visual accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours; lifting 50 pounds occasionally ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: sheboyganresumes@qpsemployment.com Apply Online: https://jobs.qpsemployment.com/jobs/800207 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
