KERRVILLE - CITY OF Assistant Pool Manager in KERRVILLE, Texas


Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Pool Manager and the Recreation Manager, the Assistant Pool Manager will assist in the operation and management of city-owned pool, including supervision of staff and programs as assigned. In the absence of a Pool Manager, this position will ensure the daily safety, comfort, and satisfaction of all customers using the city's aquatic facility.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.

Monitors and maintains swimmer safety at all times by preventing accidents and responding quickly to emergency situations.

2.

Responds to minor and major emergencies providing a high standard of care.

3.

Supervise assigned personnel. Acting Manager in the absence of Pool Manager.

4.

Assists Recreation Manager and Pool Manager in implementing and following the comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program as required by Ellis and Associates and the facilitys Emergency Action Plan.

5.

Maintains accurate accountability for cash drawers and cash deposits.

6.

Maintains records as required by the Parks and Recreation Department, City, County, and State.

7.

Maintains general appearance, cleanliness, and perform general housekeeping of assigned area

8.

Maintains water safety equipment.

9.

Performs basic life support skills as necessary.

10.

Stays current on skills and required certification through Ellis and Associates.

11.

Maintains the cleaning of the Olympic Pool and related facilities and equipment throughout the duration of the season, especially during peak hours of operation.

12.

Assists in managing inventory of pool supplies, first-aid equipment, and rescue equipment.

13.

Assists in conducting or leads in-service training for staff.

14.

Performs chemical readings on pH and chlorine levels and checks water temperature as scheduled.
