Duties:
Operate lathe
Operate milling machines
Operate drills and grinders
Operate misc. Die and mold equipment
5.
Build/Modify various prototypes/production molds, dies and misc. tooling
6.
Certify work against blue prints
7.
Solder, braze, and weld materials
8.
Repair damaged or worn tooling: molds, Punch/Notch die sets
9.
Troubleshoot tooling in production process

ire E
DM machine knowledge:
a. Demonstrate ability to independently troubleshoot and solve problems with machine
b. Maintain machine, change filters, belts, guides as needed.
c. Be able to write small programs as needed, e.g. cut keyways and holes in parts
d. Be able to load the software
- CNC vertical milling center, HAAS:
a. Be able to maintain and keep machine clean
b. Be able to use advanced features of machine, e.g. use canned cycles to drill and tap parts, make mirror images of parts.
c. Be able to write small programs to cut cylindrical and rectangular pockets, drill and tap holes.
- CNC vertical milling center, MAZAK:
a. Be able to maintain and keep machine clean, change coolant
b. Demonstrate ability to cut cylindrical and rectangular pockets, drill and tap holes

Layout, cut, and assemble extrusion dies and or make necessary repairs

Proficient use of metals spray and resin
- Operate misc. equipment as instructed

. Perform quality checks or inspections, including required charting

. Comply with all safety rules and procedures

. Perform necessary clean-up
General Information:
Must have completed four (4) year apprenticeship program and/or two (2) years college technical degree and/or ten (10) years in the trade. Follows instructions given by supervisor. Must work in a safe manner. Responsible for all duties performed. Understands all aspects of machinery, equipment, and tools in order to use them in the most efficient manner possible.
