Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated machine operator who will primarily work on one machine but must be flexible to move to other machines as needed. The ideal candidate will start on the 1st shift and transition to the 3rd shift following a successful 90-day probationary period. Safety is paramount in this role, and candidates must prioritize it above all.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery to draw, coil, and produce various types of wire and wire products.
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot machine or material issues.
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
Read, understand, and follow the production schedule.
Essential Skills
General labor and production experience.
Machine operation skills.
Mechanically inclined and safety-oriented.
Excellent attendance record.
Ability to work at heights without fear.
No heat sensitivity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have a manager reference from the last company regarding attendance.
At least 2-3 years of tenure in the last job.
Comfortable in high-heat environments near molten zinc kettles.
Exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and heavy materials.
Requires standing, bending, lifting, and manual handling throughout the shift.
Strong team collaboration skills.

Work Environment
Work in the largest wire manufacturer in the western United States, specializing in galvanized and reinforcement wire among other specialty wires. The environment includes large machinery and requires candidates to be comfortable with heights and heat due to the galvanized wire processes. The schedule is demanding with 12 days on and 2 days off, and conditions vary from hot in the summer to cold in the winter, with a hazy atmosphere from constant machine operation. Safety is of utmost importance due to the presence of chemicals and high heat.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr.
