Maintenance Technician
Pay: $30/Hour
Location: Auburn, WA
Overview
The Mechanical & Robotics Technician plays a key role in supporting daily operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated machinery, robotic systems, and material‑handling equipment throughout the facility. This role involves hands-on work with conveyors, pneumatic components, and electromechanical systems, as well as guiding junior techs as they grow their technical skill set.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and equipment procedures.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document all work accurately.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on material‑handling systems, including conveyors, motors, sensors, and control components.
Build strong working relationships with teams across the operations floor.
Organize and track spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
Work in a physically active environment that requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 49 lbs for extended periods.
Travel up to 20% as business needs require.
Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
At least one year of experience using basic PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related fields.
Two years of experience maintaining or repairing automated conveyor and control systems.
Two years of hands-on repair work with material handling or industrial equipment.
Experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
Basic fabrication skills with metal and wood.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Working knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals.
Familiarity with OEM safety standards for MHE.
Experience using CMMS software for work orders and maintenance tracking.
Ability to troubleshoot basic I/O and control signals.

Work Environment
This is a contract-to-permanent role available across multiple shifts. Schedules vary by site and may include early morning, mid-day, or evening start times. Technicians work within a large, highly automated distribution environment featuring advanced robotics and fast-moving equipment. Expect a 10-hour shift, high activity levels, and performance metrics based on accuracy, efficiency, and equipment uptime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.11 - $30.11/hr.
