Description
We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join a great team in Kent, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee procurement processes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the organization maintains optimal inventory levels. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to supply chain efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee purchasing activities across various product categories to meet organizational needs.
• Analyze demand forecasts to ensure inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting, to align procurement strategies.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and supply chain process improvements.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations during procurement activities.
Requirements • Proven experience as a buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in analyzing demand forecasts and inventory management.
• Skilled in negotiating contracts and building vendor relationships.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with purchasing software or tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards related to procurement.
