We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager to join our Environmental Remediation team in Kenova, West Virginia . This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful environmental initiatives, advance into a larger leadership role, and contribute to AECOM’s mission of delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage environmental remediation, assessment, and oil & gas projects from initiation to completion.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Technical Expertise:
- Apply technical knowledge to address environmental challenges, including remediation, groundwater contamination, soil treatment, waste management, and environmental compliance for oil and gas facilities, refineries, and industrial sites.
Client Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
Ensure excellent customer service and timely communication regarding project updates, risks, and outcomes.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up to date with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Office Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of professionals within the local office.
Provide mentorship, training, and career development support to junior engineers, geologists, and project staff.
Business Development:
Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.
Assist with proposal development, contract negotiations, and client presentations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
Valid Driver’s License.
Successful candidate will have to pass a drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development.
Licensed in the State of West Virginia or nearby states (Professional Engineer or Geologist).
Experience working with state regulatory agencies in West Virginia or surrounding states.
Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
Proven experience in business development.
40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current), including 8-hour Supervisor training.
PMP certification.
Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.
Demonstrated success in managing environmental projects for various types of clients.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for diverse audiences.
Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $90000 to $130000.
