Hours: 3:30pm - 2:00am (Monday - Thursday, Voluntary Overtime on Friday / Saturday)

CNC Setup Operator Responsibilities:\ - Review methods sheet, blueprints and specifications to determine setup procedure, allotted setup time, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece\ - Assemble cutting tools in recommended holders per the setup sheet provided\ - Measure and document each tool length using the offline tool pre-setter\ - Follow setup procedures to properly install work holding and labeled tooling into the machine according to setup instructions\ - Use appropriate method to find the offsets as described in the setup instructions and/or offset program; ex. probe, heimer digital center, coaxial indicator\ - Complete setup within specified time by proofing the cycle, submitting a first piece to Quality, working with Engineering/Op Manager to make adjustments and receiving the approval to run\ - Assemble appropriate gages to inspect the workpiece\ - Train and mentor operator level I and II on how to properly load the material, run the cycle, and inspect per the method and inspection documents\ - Operate CNC milling machine\ - Produce manufactured parts and routinely inspects parts to ensure high quality\ - Insert stock piece, close door and punch appropriate controls to start and stop the process\ - Change location of work piece during machining process on semi-automatic machines as specified in loading instructions\ - Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools\ - Remove debris with compressed air as needed between steps\ - Grind off burrs on finished parts\ - Review blueprints, method sheets and specifications to determine loading procedure, machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece\ - Perform daily maintenance to ensure equipment and work area are always clean and organized\ - Offer suggestions to make improvements to product flow and/or processes whenever possible
