CPV Manufacturing CNC Machinist Level II in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications
Set up, test, and adjust machines according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools
Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies
Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data
Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers
Examine completed work pieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws
Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines
Performs other activities as requested to meet departmental goals
Comply with all OSHA and company safety rules
Qualifications/Skills:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in technical program preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop
Read and use conventional measuring tools
Working knowledge of shop floor mathematics and measuring tools/equipment
Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, GD&T, and other engineering specifications
Understand thread elements such as minor, major and pitch diameter
Know how and why to bore lathe soft jaws for work holding
Capable of identifying and selecting generic lathe tools and drills
Able to understand milling and drilling on the machine centers
Able to use related manufacturing tools and equipment
Ability to work safely and efficiently
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus
Ability to wear proper PPE
