Job Description:
Responsibilities
Accurately performs most chemical manufacturing functions as needed while working under limited supervision of senior operators.
Complete priorities in relation to defined schedules to manufacture high performance aerospace materials to prescribed standards and specifications.
Monitor complex chemical reactions/operations under supervision of senior operators.
Participate in 5 S activities.
Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times.
Facilitate the chemical process, including adding reactants to raw materials and overseeing all steps of the reactions
Perform tests on the final product
Make any necessary adjustments to equipment
Use a forklift to move drums and pallets
Meet quality standards without delaying production
Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Education and Experience
High school diploma / GED
Prior experience with chemical production processes or in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
HazMat certification (preferred)
1-2 years of related experience
Skills and Knowledge
Must be a U.S citizen
Ability to operate a forklift
Basic math, reading, and computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical ability to complete job duties
Ability to follow directions accurately
Attention to detail and organization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
