Summary:
Primary responsibility is oversight of the processing department, including scheduling of personnel. Provide front line assistance and guidance to staff members. Assist in the development of training programs for processing/phlebotomy staff. Assist in competency assessment. Provide input to Manager/Supervisor regarding staff evaluations.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Associates Degree Required (Medical Office Assistant strongly preferred)
Medical Laboratory Technician strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
One (1) year data entry experience preferred
Two (2) years laboratory processing experience preferred
Familiarity of computer systems
Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skill
Three (3) years phlebotomy experience, which includes micro-collection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonatal/pediatric clients preferred

Able to work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials
Outreach Dept. – Must possess valid NYS Driver’s License; have clean driving record
