Job Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for assisting the Quality and Risk Manager with supporting Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) processes and analyzing risk events/data throughout the Tribe. The purpose of the position is to help monitor and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures and controls to meet established performance, quality, risk and safety regulations/standards.
Essential Functions
- Identifies and trends data to detect where improvements are needed and identifies areas of success within the organization
- Participates in Quality and Risk functional workgroups and carries out associated work plans
- Provides support for quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement teams on behalf of the Quality Department; working with program staff when necessary
- Implements the Model For Improvement and Plan Do Study Act methodology to drive performance improvement projects
- Monitors performance (in relevant areas) according to applicable standards and provides data and recommendations for actions to the Quality and Risk Manager
- Provides support to the Quality/Compliance/Privacy department in conducting surveys, maintaining databases, preparing internal and external documents, and creating reports
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance
