Xylem Supply Chain Planning Manager in Kemps Creek, Australia

About the role

The Supply Chain Planning Manager leads end-to-end supply chain performance through strategic inventory planning, supplier management, and data-driven decision-making—optimising working capital, service, and operational efficiency while driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory optimisation strategies to balance service levels, working capital, and supply risk.

  • Oversee daily supply chain operations, including demand planning, replenishment, order management, fulfilment, and material coordination.

  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and intercompany factories.

  • Oversee supplier performance frameworks, focusing on delivery reliability, lead times, quality compliance, and responsiveness.

  • Develop supply chain personnel through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.

  • Drive DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) performance and implement backorder reduction strategies.

  • Promote a safe working environment and consistently practice safe behaviours.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business or other related field.

  • 7+ years’ experience leading a Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or Customer Service team.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in spare parts, including but not limited to pipes and pumps, in an Engineering environment is preferable.

  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.

  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of digital systems and processes to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
