Amazon Maintenance Technician in Kemps Creek, Australia
Description
Would you like to work at the largest Fulfillment Center (FC) in the Southern Hemisphere and first Amazon Robotics Site in Australia?
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our Kemps Creek site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime
Please note that this is a full-time hourly role based on day/night shift patterns, including work during weekends and and is entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.

Key job responsibilities
Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime
Use specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps Amazon running. We maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network—including technology you won't find anywhere else. From automated packaging systems to critical distribution equipment, we handle the technical side of our operations, ensuring our sites are safe, compliant, and running at peak efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CMMS systems
Experience with sortation machines
Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
Experience with print and apply machines
