Position: Ag. Equipment Operator
Requirements:
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Job Description:
Equipment Operations & Technology: Safely operate tractors, trucks, loaders, forklifts, semis, grain handling systems, and support sprayer and harvester operations; Use GPS, AIS (autosteer), and other precision agriculture technology to operate transportation and field equipment; Monitor and maintain computer-based technology in equipment and report issues to the Farm Foreman. Irrigation: Perform irrigation tasks, including flood irrigation, laying pipe, siphon tube operation, and walking rows; Operate and maintain pivots, clean screens, check regulators, and remotely monitor pivot activity to ensure proper water delivery; Inspect screens, headgates, and ponds regularly, reporting concerns to the
Farm Foreman. Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, including greasing, filter changes, tire pressure checks, hydraulic work, and air brake adjustments; Ensure all equipment is field ready daily; promptly report and resolve issues with a focus on safety. Operational Support: Assist with seed cleaning and conditioning in coordination with third-party providers; Deliver crops and commodities to market as directed by the Farm Foreman; Support coworkers in farming, seed shed operations, and other farm tasks as needed; Maintain farmstead appearance to company standards, ensuring properties are clean, safe, and visually professional. Professional Standards: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, company vehicle, and assigned homeplace; Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion; Support teamwork, innovation, and the continued growth of the Marc Arnusch Farms brand. Must speak and understand English.
Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week:
40 hours per week 7 hour days
Schedule: 8am - 4pm; Monday - Friday and 3 hours on Saturday
Anticipated Period of Employment: 4/1/2026 - 11/1/2026

Effective 1/1/25:
Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
